General Game Options

| Description | What it does |
|---|---|
| Designated Hitter | This option will allow you to enable OR disable the DH for this game |
| Pitcher Warmup | This option will either enable or disable the need to warm your relief pitchers or not during the game (If this is on and you do not warm up your pitchers, they will throw very poorly) |
| Auto-sit relievers | Pitcher Warmup must be enabled for your to adjust this setting. |
| AI sets initial defense | This is disabled if defense strat is run by the AI. If human is in control your options are Yes or No. |
| Ballpark | You can choose any ballpark in your league to play in with this option. |
| Field View | You can choose from the Modern 2D and 3D views or Classic 2D or 3D views or even classic Webcast View |
| 3D Animation Speed | Allows you to adjust how fast the 3D Animation is from Turtle to Lightning |
| Audience Settings | This can only be adjusted in the File>Settings->3D "Audience Detail" |
| Screen Filter Mode | This feature is new as of OOTP 25! Click here to see the options |
| Player Labels | Do you want Small or Large Labels to show up in game Large Labels include facegen picture. |
| Label Locations | Allows you to move labels. Automatic is default |
| Player Labels Color | you either have automatic or team background (Team background is set under team settings) |
| Player Photos | Allows you to turn on or off facegens on the labels |
| Ball Size | Allows you to make the ball smaller or bigger in game. |
| Player Size | Allows you to make players smaller or bigger in game |
| Use Shadows | Yes or No. Choosing no might slightly improve 3D |
| Initial Camera View | The views are selected from created camera views from the 3D editor. This view is what you see before the pitch |
| Pitch Camera View | This view is seen during the pitch |
| Action Camera View | This view is seen if the ball is hit into the field, fair or foul. |
| Allow Dynamic Action Cameras | Do you want the game to pick from different camera angles during the Action Camera |
| Follow Ball | Do you want the camera to follow the ball |
| Show Starting Pan | Do you want the game to show a starting Pan? |
| Draw Ball Flight Arc | This draws a yellow line following the ball. It can be on always, during replays, or during specific replays. |
| Flying Camera on Replays | This will have the camera fly with the ball during replays |
| Extra Statistical Widget | Do you want the extra widget to show up during replays giving you data on the catch or hit? Was it a 4 or 5 star play? |
| Display Spray Charts on-field | This overlays a spray chat of the current batter over the infield. Good to help you if you use shifts. |
| Depth of Field Mode | Do you want to have a blur when parts of the field are farther away? |
| Dynamic Zoom | This is only enabled if Follow Ball is on. Allows you to enable or disable zooming into where the ball is. |
| Camera Movement Delay | This works with Dynamic Zoom, is there a delay to the camera movement? |
| Camera Transition Time | How fast does the camera transition to the ball. |
| Camera Movement Speed | How fast is the movement of the camera. |
| Zoom Factor | Do you want extreme zoom or subtle zoom? |
| Game Sound | Do you want game sound enable to disabled? |
| Crowd Volume | This will adjust the crowd noise |
| Field Volume | This will adjust the field noise like crack of bat or ump calling a player out. |
| Music Volume | This adjusts the music noise |
| Ambient Volume | This adjust all other background noises like planes flying overhead or other sounds. |
| Ambient Noise Frequency | How much does the Ambient sounds play |
| Show Fireworks | Do you want fireworks to show when a homerun is hit? |
| HR Horn | Do you want the horn to sound when a homerun is hit? |
| PbP Detail | How much detail do you want in the play by play? |
| PbP Box | Do you want the PbP Box big or small? |
| PbP Font Size | Would you like smaller or bigger text in the PbP Box |
| PbP Speed | How fast do you want the PbP, from very slow to instant. Custom allows you to adjust Delay Millisec. |
| Delay Mode | Do you want it by character or by line? |
| Delay Millisec. | This is adjusted by changing the PbP Speed, you can adjust if PbP speed is set to custom. |
| Delay Before AB | This will adjust the delay before an at bat can start |
| Delay Before Pitch | This will adjust a delay from the time you hit the button to pitch to when the action will take place. |
| Delay Between Action Plays | This sets a delay between action plays |
| Delay Between Routine Plays | This sets a delay before routine plays |
| Simulate World in Background | Do you want the rest of the games to real time sim in the background of your game? |
Screen Filter Mode
As of OOTP 25 a screen filter system was created to give cool effects to your game. Are you playing in the early years of TV? Are you playing in the years of the 70's or 80's? They have a filter for that! You can choose from the following filters
- Cinema B&W (Black and White)
- TV Sepia
- TV B&W
- TV Desaturated Color
- TV Saturated Color
- TV Normal Color
- Standard B&W
- Standard Desaturated Color
- Standard Saturated Color
- Pencil Drawing
- Futuristic
- Crayon
