In OOTP, teams in a parent league have a staff of seven personnel: a general manager, a manager, a bench coach, a hitting coach, a pitching coach, a scouting director, and a team trainer. Affiliated league teams have just three staff members: a manager, a hitting coach, and a pitching coach.

Coaches and personnel affect a number of different aspects of the game, from player development to scouting to how quickly players return from injuries. Coaches and personnel have their own rating system as well, and are signed to contracts just as players are. This section will cover the different coaches and personnel in detail.
