Batting Splits

The Batting Splits (Current Year) sub-screen of the Batting Stats area contains a wealth of statistical data about the selected player's hitting during the current year, beginning with their overall numbers, and continuing down through every split available in the game. This information is provided for both position players and pitchers. You can access this screen in several ways:

• Click on any player name on any standard game screen(any screen that isn't a HTML report), click on the Batting Stats tab, then click on the (year) Batting Splits sub-screen
• Right-click on any player name and select Open Player Profile, click on the Batting Stats tab, then click on the (year) Batting Splits sub-screen

View Drop-down

The View drop-down toggles the display between "basic" and "expanded" hitting stats. "Basic Batting Stats" include the most common hitting statistics, such as games played, home runs, and batting average. "Expanded Batting Stats" includes some of the more uncommon hitting stats like wOBA, ISO, and VORP. See the Glossary for definitions of the various different statistics.

League Scope Drop-down

The League Scope drop-down allows you to choose which leagues are included in the displayed statistics. You can view a total of all league levels combined, or you can choose from the drop-down to specify a single league level to view.

Batting vs Team Drop-down

The Batting vs Team drop-down allows you to view this player's batting statistics versus a specific opponent.

Double Splits Drop-down

The Double Splits drop-down allows you to select a second split to go with the list of splits already on the page. For example, if you choose "Road" from the Double Splits drop-down, then look at the row of data for "Versus Right," then you would be looking at the hitter's statistics against right-handed pitchers on the road.
