Opponents' Splits

The Opponents' Batting Splits (Current Year) sub-screen of the Pitching Stats area shows how opponents performed against the currently selected pitcher during the current year. You can access this screen in several ways:

Click on any player name on any standard gamescreen(anyscreenthat isn't a HTML report), click on the Pitching Stats tab, then click on the (year) Opponents' Batting Splits sub-screen
Right-click on any player name and select Open Player Profile, click on the Pitching Stats tab, then click on the (year) Opponents' Batting Splits sub-screen

Statistics

The right side of thescreencontains all of the selected player's statistics, across all leagues in which he has played in the current season. Each row contains a different "split". Several drop-downs at the top of the screen allow you to modify the data to suit your needs:

View Drop-down

The View drop-down toggles the display between "basic" and "expanded" hitting stats. "Basic Batting Stats" include the most common hitting statistics, such as games played, home runs, and batting average. "Expanded Batting Stats" includes some of the more uncommon hitting stats like wOBA, ISO, and VORP. See the Glossary for definitions of the various different statistics.

League Scope Drop-down

The League Scope drop-down allows you to choose which leagues are included in the displayed statistics. You can view a total of all league levels combined, or you can choose from the drop-down to specify a single league level to view.

Pitching vs Team Drop-down

The Pitching vs Team drop-down allows you to view this player's pitching statistics versus a specific opponent.

Double Splits Drop-down

The Double Splits drop-down allows you to select a second split to go with the list of splits already on the page. For example, if you choose "Road" from the Double Splits drop-down, then look at the row of data for "Versus Right," then you would be looking at the hitter's statistics against right-handed pitchers on the road.
